The IWC watch brand is the one established in the year of 1868 by an American engineer from Boston. The name IWC was originally named International Watch Co., with its headquarters in Schaffhausen, north-eastern Switzerland. Started as a small watch making company, the brand was nowadays recognized for its achievements in the watch manufacturing field, being graded as one of the top brands of the few past years. The motto of the brand is famous: ''IWC. Since1869. And for as long as there are men''. This watch brand is good at making men's watches.
The model we're presenting today goes by the name of IWC Mark XVI Watch and it represents a timepiece with lots of history behind it. The successful story of this brand started with the introduction of the Mark X watches on the market, more accurately, the watches were designed for the Military of Great Britain back in the 1940. This first model was later improved and manufactured as the Mark X Pilots model, Mark XI model and what we can find today as the new IWC Mark XVI Watch. This latest version is famous for having a second inner case that protects the mechanism through its magnetic fields.
The case of the new IWC Mark XVI Watch measures 39 mm in diameter and it's crafted from stainless steel. The robust bezel surrounding the case is made from polished stainless steel as to add a touch of elegance and sophistication. The case features a screw in crown and sapphire crystal covering both its back and top.
The black dial of the new IWC Mark XVI Watch is quite simple, being equipped with luminescent coated hour markers and Arabic numerals. The dial displays the main functions of the watch by showing the hour, minute and second through luminescent coated hands and it also displays a date window located traditionally at 3 o'clock. The dial is actually uncomplicated and easily readable and it approaches the classy-simple look.
In terms of technical proficiency, the IWC Mark XVI Watch can resist up to 60 meters water resistance, due to its second inner case made of slim iron that double protects the mechanism. The automatic movement is defined as the 30110 Caliber, a movement design and developed exclusively by IWC. This mechanism generates 42 hours of power reserve, making it extremely reliable and accurate.
What most people don't know about this watch is that the designers from IWC have chosen to manufacture the same model by adding an extra function, that of a chronograph.
The watch here is an elegant one which is available on a black alligator strap, hand sewn with black thread and equipped with a stainless steel folding clasp. It is defiinitely sure that the watch is an impressive one at the first sight when seeing it.
